Hara's vinyl windows is the best window company in Oregon by far. Last month I had a broken window seal which caused the window to sort of fog up. Harrah's replaced all of our windows in our house over 20 years ago and I thought I would have to pay to have this window replaced but last month they came out and replaced the window for free. No out-of-pocket expense for me. My friends are so surprised.

How much does window replacement cost in the Willamette Valley?
It depends on the number of windows, their sizes and styles, the glass package (double or triple pane) and whether you need a retrofit or full-frame install. We give free in-home estimates with a written quote, and homeowners regularly tell us our bid came in well below the other companies they talked to. Call 503-378-1215 to set up yours.
How long does it take to replace the windows in a house?
Your windows are custom-built for your openings, and the lead time is usually a few weeks after you order. Once they arrive, most whole-house installs take one to three days.
What happens on installation day?
The crew lays drop cloths inside and tarps outside, removes the old windows, then sets, levels, insulates and seals the new ones and puts the trim back. We clean up at the end of every day and clean your new windows inside and out before we leave.
Will new windows stop condensation?
They usually help a lot. Water on the inside of old single-pane or aluminum windows comes from warm indoor air hitting cold glass. Low-E double and triple-pane glass stays warmer. Fog between the panes means a failed seal, and that glass unit needs replacing.
Do I need a permit to replace windows in Salem?
Replacing a window in the same-size opening usually doesn’t need one. Enlarging an opening or cutting in a new door usually does. We’ll tell you during the estimate if your project needs a permit.
What warranty do I get?
Your windows carry the manufacturer’s warranty from Milgard, Ply Gem or Cascade, and we stand behind our installation. We’ll go over the specific warranty for the windows you choose when we write your quote.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Every Hara’s installation is done by our own employees, many of whom have been with the company for 10 to 20 years. Our installers are paid hourly, not by the window, so they take the time to do it right.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Financing is available on approved credit (O.A.C.). Ask about current options when you schedule your estimate.
Can you help with Energy Trust of Oregon incentives?
Yes. Qualifying energy-efficient windows may be eligible for incentives from Energy Trust of Oregon and local utilities like Salem Electric and McMinnville Water & Light. We help with the paperwork so you get every dollar you qualify for.
