Questions
Energy savings FAQs
Programs change often. The fastest way to know what you qualify for is to call us at 503-378-1215.
Do new windows really lower energy bills?
Yes. Windows are one of the largest sources of heat loss and gain in a home, especially older single-pane or failing double-pane windows. Replacing them with modern Low-E vinyl windows reduces drafts and heat transfer, so your furnace and air conditioner run less. Actual savings depend on your home, your old windows and your heating system.
Who qualifies for Energy Trust of Oregon window incentives?
Energy Trust of Oregon offers incentives to customers of participating Oregon utilities, such as Portland General Electric and NW Natural, when qualifying windows meet their efficiency requirements. Requirements and amounts change over time, so call us and we’ll check what applies to your home.
